We had a great time interviewing fellow Texas Drivers at Post Market in Houston, TX.

There were many questions asked but in this video, we specifically asked drivers “How many car accidents happen every year in Texas?”.

We had a wide range of answers starting in the hundreds, all the way up to the high thousands.

It’s a hard question to ask because it’s not something people usually think about. The man who answered last on the video was definitely the closest. You could tell his entire table was interested in finding out the answer.

According to the Texas DMV there are approximately 23.7 million people with a Texas drivers license and/or Identification card. This is about 83% of the states population.

Out of those people, according to the Texas Department of Transportation there were approximately 550,000 accidents in 2021 and over 600,000 accidents in 2022. If you do the math, that means in 2022, there was 1 car crash every 57 seconds.
