Police call me to help with insurance info on car accident case! Every now and then we have a client who was not given the insurance information at the scene of the accident. This puts our client in a very difficult position because they have no idea who to file a claim with. If they can’t file a claim with the at fault driver’s insurance everything on the case gets delayed. Not to mention their vehicle may be sitting in a storage lot somewhere and they don’t have a rental. Of course if you have your own insurance you may be able to get them to help you but that is not always the case. When this happens, I call the police department to see if I can get the insurance information from the officer now instead of waiting for the report. When it works out, it’s a tremendous blessing!
