Do whatever you can to take a photo of the other driver’s insurance at the scene of the accident….or at least write it down 📲🛻

Car accidents can be very overwhelming. Sometimes so much that you forget to get everything you need to properly move forward with your case. If you are able to, do everything possible to get the other driver’s insurance at the scene.

It is possible the other driver won’t give you their insurance which in that case, the hope is you called the Police to report the accident anyway and when they arrive you can ask them for that information. That said, sometimes Police Officers will tell you the insurance will be on the accident report, but that means it could be another 7-14 days + before you find out. If the Officer tells you this, politely request he or she reconsider so you don’t have to wait long to file a claim.
